Tuesday, Apr. 04
Managua
If you ask us, vacation starts the moment you get past security at the airport - so yes, you have two stops on your way to Managua, but most of them are overnight. Have a drink and then sleep your way to Central America.
Day 2
Wednesday, Apr. 05
San Juan Del Sur
Once you arrive to Managua, take the Iskra shuttle to San Juan Del Sur - about a 2.5 hour ride down the highway to the beautiful Hotel Villas de Palermo. After checking in, beeline to the beach and bask in the 80 degree water. You made it! Grab di...

Not only is it Sunday Funday, a weekly celebration in the party town of SJDS, but it's Super Bowl Sunday! Ask around to find out if there's a TV where you can watch some American football, or say screw it - you'll see it next year!
Day 5

Catch a bus from San Juan Del Sur to the town of San Jorge where you will hop on a ferry to Isla de Ometepe, the largest island in Lake Nicaragua, which is situated between two volcanos.
Day 6
Sunday, Apr. 09
Managua
Kayaking on Rio Istian is a great way to explore the isthmus between the two volcanos - Maderas and Concepcion. In the afternoon, take a cool dip in the MUST-EXPERIENCE natural spring waters of Ojo de Agua.
Day 7
Monday, Apr. 10
Managua
Ready to sweat? Hire a guide to take you up Volcan Concepcion, where you will be able to see for miles. It's a trek for sure, but the views are worth it. (Alternatively, Maderas volcano is a shorter, but more strenuous hike)
Day 8
Tuesday, Apr. 11
Managua
Back on the ferry, then into either a taxi or bus up towards Masaya - but you'll hop off early at Laguna de Apoyo, the warmest and cleanest lake in Central America. You're crashing at a hostel, but the name Paradiso is no joke - you may want to st...
